Miami Dolphins News & Updates

Miami Dolphins quarterback Skylar Thompson had to leave Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks because of a chest injury.

Thompson, stepping in for the injured starter Tua Tagovailoa, was hit hard during the team's second drive in the third quarter. He stayed on the ground for several minutes as the medical staff attended to him before he walked back to the locker room on his own.

Tim Boyle, who had been promoted from the practice squad, replaced Thompson.

Thompson managed to complete 13 out of 19 passes for 107 yards before he left the game. He was sacked five times.

Tagovailoa will be out for at least three more games due to a concussion he suffered in Week 2. Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel has mentioned that there is no definite timeline for his return.

Thompson was not the only Dolphins starter to depart the game early. Cornerback Kendall Fuller suffered a concussion, and left tackle Terron Armstead was ruled out with an eye injury.
