Seattle Seahawks News & Updates

The Seattle Seahawks have added defensive tackle Roy Robertson-Harris via a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

In exchange for Robertson-Harris, Seattle sent a 2026 sixth-round draft pick.

At 31 years old, Robertson-Harris brings in much-needed depth to a defense that has struggled against the run and has faced a number of injuries recently.

After going undrafted in 2016 from UTEP, Robertson-Harris spent five seasons with the Chicago Bears and has been with Jacksonville since 2021. Over the course of 106 career games, he has amassed 19 sacks and 26 tackles for loss.

The Seahawks have allowed the third-highest rushing yards in the NFL over their recent three-game losing streak.

They have been dealing with injuries to key players, including rookie defensive tackle Byron Murphy II, who might return this week. Meanwhile, the team has placed outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu on injured reserve.

In February 2023, Robertson-Harris had signed a three-year, $21.6 million extension with the Jaguars, with $14.4 million guaranteed. Although he has played in every game this season, his performance has seen a decrease.

This marks the second trade between Seattle and Jacksonville in the last month, following the Seahawks' acquisition of outside linebacker Trevis Gipson in August.
