Atlanta Falcons News & Updates

The Seattle Seahawks ended their three-game losing streak with an impressive 34-14 win against the Atlanta Falcons. Seattle's defense played exceptionally well, forcing three turnovers during the fourth quarter. Notably, Derick Hall returned a fumble for a touchdown.

Leading the Seattle offense, Geno Smith threw for two touchdowns, one being a 31-yard pass to DK Metcalf just before halftime. Additionally, the Seahawks' defense effectively contained Atlanta's offense, which is guided by Kirk Cousins. Cousins was sacked three times and intercepted twice during the game.

Atlanta faced difficulties in building momentum against Seattle's defense. Before this victory, the defense had been allowing nearly 36 points per game on average. The Falcons' only other touchdown was from a 5-yard run by Bijan Robinson in the first quarter.

Making his NFL debut, rookie Michael Penix Jr. came in for Atlanta during the fourth quarter and completed a 14-yard pass.

Unfortunately for Seattle, wide receiver DK Metcalf left the field in the third quarter due to a knee injury. He was carted off, and details about the severity of his injury remain unclear.

Next Sunday, the Seahawks are set to play the Buffalo Bills at home, while the Falcons will travel to take on the Buccaneers in Tampa Bay.
