Pittsburgh Steelers News & Updates

Pittsburgh Steelers rookie tackle Troy Fautanu is questionable for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers after getting hurt in Friday's practice. Fautanu, who had a previous sprain in his left MCL, felt a minor issue during the session.

In Fautanu's absence, fellow tackle Broderick Jones, who did not play in the previous game, joined the first-team offense at right tackle. Jones' role is dependent on the results of Fautanu's MRI.

Jones acknowledged the chance of starting if Fautanu is unable to play. He aims to improve following a penalty-filled performance in Week 2, mentioning that poor performance leads to being benched. Coach Mike Tomlin has shown confidence in Jones, promising him a chance to bounce back this week.

To cut down on penalties, the Steelers have had officials at practice throughout the week to provide feedback. Jones stated he is prepared to perform if given the opportunity, focusing on staying upright and maintaining his health.
