Pittsburgh Steelers News & Updates

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Alex Highsmith injured his ankle during the Week 10 game against the Washington Commanders.

He has a low ankle sprain and will be unable to play in the Steelers' divisional game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

The team added Preston Smith from the Green Bay Packers at the trade deadline and anticipates he will fill Highsmith's spot in the lineup.

Additionally, Nick Herbig, in his second year, is set to make a return after recovering from a hamstring injury.

As the Ravens lead the league in offensive production, the Steelers' defense will need as much support as possible.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin did not bring up former Steelers player Diontae Johnson, now with the Ravens from the Carolina Panthers, unless specifically questioned.

Johnson has seen limited action for the Ravens, recording just one catch for six yards over two games.
