Pittsburgh Steelers News & Updates

Steelers wide receiver George Pickens suggested that Russell Wilson is set to make his debut start against the New York Jets on Sunday. Pickens mentioned that they have engaged in additional practice sessions to get ready.

Coach Mike Tomlin, however, chose to keep quiet about the decision even though Wilson participated fully in practice. Tomlin complimented the efforts of both Wilson and Justin Fields, highlighting their effective performances throughout the week.

Wilson, who has been recovering from a calf injury, has been involved in practice with the first team. In Wilson's absence, Fields secured four victories and was placed second in the quarterback lineup.

While Tomlin assured that he had a strategy, he refrained from revealing details. Wilson conveyed his preparedness, and Fields admitted he needed to make improvements.

Despite Fields reflecting on his areas for growth, his teammates, including running back Najee Harris, praised his efforts and stressed the importance of support across all 11 players.
