The Pittsburgh Steelers will be missing running back Jaylen Warren for their game against the Indianapolis Colts due to a knee injury he picked up during their Week 3 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.
Warren did not practice at all this week and was officially ruled out on Friday. His absence means that Najee Harris is set to take on a larger workload. Harris had 18 carries for 70 yards in the game against the Chargers. Warren, who was struggling with movement, was pulled from the game and only played 22 offensive snaps.
In light of this, Cordarrelle Patterson is expected to step in as a backup to Harris. Patterson, a versatile player with 12 years of experience and primarily signed by the Steelers for kick returns, was on the field for 22 snaps against the Chargers. He rushed 33 yards on four attempts and added 15 yards from three catches, totaling five touches.
Patterson expressed his readiness, mentioning that he is prepared to step in whenever needed, whether it's as a wide receiver, running back, or any other role. He is enthusiastic about contributing to the team.
