Texans Triumph Over Jaguars 24-20 with C.J. Stroud's Last-Second Pass to Dare Ogunbowale

C.J. Stroud's impressive 345-yard performance, which included two touchdowns, was highlighted by a critical 1-yard pass to Dare Ogunbowale with just 18 seconds left, securing a 24-20 win for the Houston Texans over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Texans orchestrated a crucial nine-play, 69-yard drive led by Stroud, which marked their first score in the second half and helped them overcome the winless Jaguars' challenge.

Nico Collins was a key player with 12 receptions totaling 151 yards and a touchdown, achieving his third 100-yard game of the season.

On the other side, Trevor Lawrence threw for 169 yards with two touchdowns, but his streak of winless starts extended to nine games as the Jaguars fell to 0-4, their worst start since 2021.

The Jaguars missed an opportunity to widen their lead when Tank Bigsby's 58-yard run brought them close, but two runs and an incomplete pass led to a fourth-down stop.

Ogunbowale's significant 31-yard gain on a third-and-18 situation was a key moment for Houston. However, penalties and a subsequent sack forced them to punt.

Derek Stingley's crucial pass breakup led to a Jaguars punt with six minutes left, giving Houston another chance with three minutes remaining, which they took advantage of to score the game-winning touchdown.

Brian Thomas's 32-yard reception set up Jacksonville's third-quarter score, ending with an 8-yard touchdown from Christian Kirk.

Houston started strong, equalizing the game with Stefon Diggs's 6-yard rushing touchdown and later regaining the lead through a 3-yard touchdown pass to Collins.
