Minnesota Vikings News & Updates

The Vikings have made the decision to not play tight end T.J. Hockenson in Thursday's matchup with the Rams.

There is an expectation that Hockenson will be activated on Friday, making him available for the Sunday Night Football game against the Colts.

Hockenson has not played since last December due to a knee injury. He has been on the PUP list for the season, but his opportunity to start practicing began on October 4th.

Since joining the Vikings from the Lions in 2022, Hockenson has been a crucial player. He ranks among the top NFL tight ends in terms of catches and yards across his 25 games.

With Hockenson unavailable, Johnny Mundt and Josh Oliver have stepped in, each securing a touchdown. Nonetheless, without Hockenson, the Vikings' tight end targets have been among the lowest in the league.

This season, Mundt and Oliver have together achieved 18 receptions and 125 yards.
