Jacksonville Jaguars News & Updates

Trevor Lawrence, the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback, might miss the upcoming game against the Minnesota Vikings due to an injury to his left shoulder, as stated by coach Doug Pederson.

The injury occurred during the Jaguars' recent defeat against the Philadelphia Eagles. Should Lawrence be unable to participate, Mac Jones is expected to step in as the starter, having been acquired through a trade with the New England Patriots. C.J. Beathard would be the backup for Jones.

This could potentially be the second game Lawrence misses since becoming a part of the Jaguars. He previously missed a game against the Carolina Panthers last season because of an injury to his right shoulder.

For Jones, his last starting appearance took place during Week 12 of the 2023 season while he was with the Patriots. After being benched for their last six games, he was subsequently traded to Jacksonville.
