Jacksonville Jaguars News & Updates

The Jacksonville Jaguars will be without quarterback Trevor Lawrence for the second game in a row due to an injury in his left shoulder. On Sunday, Mac Jones is set to play against the Detroit Lions.

The injury Lawrence sustained is a sprain in the AC joint of his non-throwing shoulder, which occurred during the game with the Philadelphia Eagles. Coach Doug Pederson mentioned that they plan to rest Lawrence for another week with hopes that he can return following their Week 12 bye.

In the previous game against the Minnesota Vikings, Jones completed 14 of his 22 pass attempts for 111 yards, but he also committed three turnovers. He has stressed the necessity of enhancing his basic quarterback skills.

This season, Lawrence has accumulated 2,004 passing yards along with 11 touchdowns and six interceptions. Jones, who has only started once for the Jaguars, is preparing for his second starting opportunity since Week 12 of 2023.
