The Miami Dolphins players are pleased to see Tua Tagovailoa return to practice. Tyreek Hill, in particular, shared his happiness, noting that having Tagovailoa back feels familiar and lifts the team's spirits.
After sustaining a concussion in Week 2, Tagovailoa has been on injured reserve since September. His absence has had a noticeable effect on the Dolphins' offense, which has struggled in several crucial areas.
Hill's performance has also suffered without Tagovailoa. However, his excitement was clear after practice on Wednesday, where he successfully connected with Tagovailoa on multiple deep throws. Jaylen Waddle highlighted Tagovailoa's impressive rate of successful passes to Hill.
With his return, Tagovailoa is focused on self-protection. Coach Mike McDaniel and Hill stressed the importance of the quarterback avoiding unnecessary hits. Raheem Mostert agreed, recognizing that Tagovailoa ultimately decides how he conducts himself on the field.
For Tagovailoa to play on Sunday, he must participate fully in practice. Additionally, he will need approval from an independent neurological consultant after completing a full practice.
