Dallas Cowboys News & Updates

There is uncertainty about Micah Parsons, a pass rusher for the Dallas Cowboys, and whether he will be fit to play in the upcoming match against the San Francisco 49ers. He has not played in the last two games because of a high ankle sprain on his left ankle. The final decision will be taken after receiving treatment during the Cowboys' bye week, by Parsons, the medical team, and the coaches.

Parsons feels physically ready to play, yet the team wants to make sure he is performing at his best. They are closely watching his recovery progress.

The injury occurred in late September during a game against the New York Giants. While the Cowboys managed to win against the Pittsburgh Steelers without his presence, they suffered a heavy defeat against the Detroit Lions in the following game that he missed.

During the game against the Lions, the opposing team scored in nine out of twelve possessions and achieved a total of 492 yards, with the Cowboys conceding 184 yards on the ground.

These games represent the first Parsons has missed because of an injury, other than being absent during 2021 owing to COVID-19. He admits the difficulty of watching from the sidelines and is taking this time to think about how he can enhance his performance.

Coach Mike McCarthy has stated that Parsons is showing signs of improvement, though he hasn't verified if Parsons will take part in Wednesday's practice. Parsons remains optimistic and eager to get back on the field.
