Sam Darnold led the undefeated Minnesota Vikings to a 34-7 triumph over C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans by throwing four touchdown passes.
Justin Jefferson, Aaron Jones, Jalen Nailor, and Johnny Mundt each caught a touchdown pass from Darnold, marking his third consecutive win as a starter.
The Vikings' defense showed dominance by sacking Stroud four times and intercepting him twice. Jonathan Greenard achieved three of the sacks, while Kamu Grugier-Hill and Stephon Gilmore each added an interception.
On the offensive side, the Texans struggled significantly, managing only a late third-quarter touchdown. Nico Collins, who entered the week as the NFL's leading receiver, was limited to just 34 yards on three catches.
Stefon Diggs, in his first game in Minnesota since leaving the Vikings four years ago, led the Texans with 10 receptions for 94 yards.
This victory advances the Vikings to a 3-0 record for the season as they prepare to face the Green Bay Packers next week. Meanwhile, the Texans drop to 2-1 and will host the Jacksonville Jaguars.
