Minnesota Vikings News & Updates

The Minnesota Vikings breathed a sigh of relief on Monday as tests confirmed that quarterback Sam Darnold's left knee injury was merely a minor bruise with no structural damage.

According to Coach Kevin O'Connell, Darnold is not anticipated to miss a significant amount of time and is expected to prepare as usual for the upcoming game against the Green Bay Packers.

Darnold has distinguished himself this season, steering the Vikings to a 3-0 start and achieving high rankings in NFL statistics.

The injury took place during Sunday’s win over the Houston Texans, when Darnold was tackled low by Danielle Hunter. Although he limped off the field for a short period, he returned to the game after being assessed by medical staff.

O'Connell also mentioned a minor finger injury suffered by receiver Justin Jefferson, emphasizing that it is not a concern and that the Vikings anticipate him being fully available for the next game.
