The Minnesota Vikings have traded for left tackle Cam Robinson from the Jacksonville Jaguars. This exchange involves a conditional seventh-round pick in 2026 that may be void depending on his playing time. The Jaguars will also receive a conditional fifth-round pick in 2026, which could upgrade to a fourth-round selection based on his playing time.
Cam Robinson is in his contract's final year, with his salary at $16.25 million for the current season. The Jaguars will cover a portion of his remaining salary.
Robinson is set to replace Christian Darrisaw, who sustained a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee during the Vikings' loss to the Rams last Thursday. Darrisaw is not expected back until the next season.
The Vikings considered other alternatives for the left tackle role, such as shifting left guard Blake Brandel or opting for veteran Dalton Risner to take over at left guard.
Robinson had started the first seven games for the Jaguars but was replaced by Walker Little in their matchup against Green Bay. His career pass block win rate stands at 81.7%, although he has been absent for 32 games due to injury, suspension, or being benched.
It remains uncertain whether Robinson will be ready to play for the Vikings in their upcoming match against the Colts.
