On Thursday night, the Boston Red Sox emerged victorious over the New York Yankees with a score of 7-2 at Fenway Park.
The Red Sox quickly took the lead, scoring twice in the first inning against Yankees pitcher Gerrit Cole. Rafael Devers brought in the first run with a single, while Christian Arroyo added another run with a double.

The Red Sox secured their win by adding two more runs in the eighth inning, thanks to a double by Alex Verdugo and a single by Devers.
Nick Pivetta delivered a solid performance for the Red Sox, pitching 5.2 innings and conceding one run on four hits. He tallied seven strikeouts and gave up three walks.
For the Yankees, Cole pitched for 4.1 innings, allowing five runs on eight hits. He achieved five strikeouts and issued two walks.
