Chicago Bears News & Updates

The Chicago Bears have announced that Jaquan Brisker will not be playing in Sunday's matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars as he is recovering from a concussion.

Brisker experienced symptoms indicating a concussion on Monday, leading to his inclusion in the NFL's concussion protocol. He did not join the team on their trip to London. Notably, this marks his third concussion diagnosis since 2022.

Elijah Hicks has been chosen to replace Brisker in the upcoming game.

Bears General Manager, Ryan Poles, expressed commendation for the development of rookie quarterback Caleb Williams following his performance against the Carolina team.

Williams achieved a completion of 20 out of 29 passes, accumulating 304 yards, with 2 touchdowns and no turnovers. He set a milestone by becoming the first Bears rookie quarterback to record 300 yards without interceptions in a game.

Poles remarked on Williams' learning progress and advised him to concentrate on his own development despite comparisons with other rookie quarterbacks.

Williams recognized the achievements of fellow rookie quarterbacks but maintained that his primary focus is on his team's success and his individual advancement.
