Chargers' Center Bradley Bozeman Praised for Defending Justin Herbert During Rough Play Incident

Following an illegal hit on Justin Herbert by Nathan Shepherd, Bradley Bozeman, the center, intervened by pushing Shepherd off Herbert and knocking him to the ground, which led to both players receiving unnecessary roughness penalties.

Bozeman's teammates and coach Jim Harbaugh praised his response. Harbaugh even presented him with a game ball, acknowledging Bozeman's protective instincts, although he clarified he does not encourage such behavior.

With Herbert dealing with a high ankle sprain, he expressed gratitude for Bozeman's defense. Bozeman highlighted the critical need to defend their quarterback and noted that Shepherd's actions were unacceptable.

In the locker room, Bozeman's game ball received the most enthusiastic applause, underscoring his teammates' approval of his strong support and resilience.
