Los Angeles Chargers News & Updates

Following their 17-10 defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs, Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh admitted to the team's offensive difficulties and his own shortcomings in coaching.

Harbaugh stressed the importance of protecting quarterback Justin Herbert, who dealt with intense pressure and was sacked twice. Herbert, who played with an ankle injury and behind an improvised offensive line, faced pressure on 12 dropbacks and was hit four times during his throws.

The Chargers were also penalized nine times, including four false starts by the offensive line, which Harbaugh linked to coaching problems. Herbert mentioned that he modified the snap cadence but recognized that the team needed to execute better.

During the game, Herbert showed his frustration by slamming his helmet into the bench. Running back J.K. Dobbins shared the team's disappointment, voicing his frustration over his own performance and the loss.

The Chargers have a bye week before their matchup against the Denver Broncos in Week 6.
