The game began with the Red Sox securing a 4-0 lead. However, the Yankees gradually closed the gap, scoring two runs in the fourth inning and adding three more in the fifth, leveling the score to 5-5.
In the seventh inning, both teams scored again, leading to extra innings. During the 10th inning, Aaron Judge propelled the Yankees forward with a two-run home run, giving them an 8-6 lead.
Responding for the Red Sox, Xander Bogaerts hit a solo home run in the bottom of the 10th inning. Nevertheless, the Yankees maintained their edge to claim the intense victory.
