The Boston Bruins easily defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins, winning 6-2 at PPG Paints Arena. Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand each scored twice, and David Pastrnak also contributed with a goal.
The Penguins had a rough start, allowing Bergeron to score just over three minutes into the first period. Shortly thereafter, Marchand scored again to increase the Bruins' lead, giving them a strong position. Pittsburgh managed to regroup and score before the end of the period, but Boston came out strong in the second period.
Pastrnak increased Boston's lead midway through the second period, and Bergeron scored for the second time shortly after. The Penguins fought back in the third period, but Marchand's empty-net goal secured the win for the Bruins.
Linus Ullmark, Boston's goaltender, made 33 saves, while Pittsburgh's Tristan Jerry faced 40 shots. This victory improved the Bruins' record to 14 wins and 3 losses, while the Penguins' record fell to 9 wins, 6 losses, and 1 overtime loss.
