Washington Commanders News & Updates

Washington Commanders running back Austin Ekeler will be sidelined for Sunday's game against Arizona after suffering a concussion on Monday.

In the first three games of the season, Ekeler was a key offensive player, accumulating nine receptions for 121 yards, rushing for 83 yards, and scoring a 24-yard touchdown. Additionally, he had a kickoff return of 62 yards during Monday's game.

Coach Dan Quinn commended Ekeler's playmaking prowess, particularly his knack for turning short passes into significant yardage. The team will miss his contributions and will need other players to step up in his absence.

Brian Robinson will continue as the lead running back, with Jeremy McNichols available for third-down situations. Chris Rodriguez Jr. is currently on the practice squad.

On the defensive side, end Clelin Ferrell, who was out for Monday's game due to a knee injury, is projected to return for Week 5 against Cleveland.
