Cooper Kupp, wide receiver for the Los Angeles Rams, is scheduled for a workout on Monday to evaluate his recovery following an ankle sprain sustained in Week 2.
The workout will feature movements similar to those in a game and include running routes. Coach Sean McVay noted that Kupp is showing promising progress. The team plans to assess his condition post-workout, with an update anticipated on Wednesday.
McVay recognizes that there is a chance Kupp could return this week, although he also admits there is a possibility that Kupp might not be ready.
So far this season, Kupp has amassed 18 receptions, totaling 147 yards, accompanied by one touchdown.
Meanwhile, tackle Joe Noteboom might also resume practice soon, as he has a workout scheduled for Monday after spraining his ankle during the season's opening game.
Puka Nacua, a wide receiver dealing with a PCL sprain, and Steve Avila, an offensive lineman with an MCL sprain, are unlikely to come back from injured reserve this week.
