The Los Angeles Rams franchise traces its origins back to 1936, when it was established in Cleveland by Dan Reeves and Homer Marshman as the Cleveland Rams. Over the span of 21 seasons, the team called Cleveland home and celebrated two NFL Championships in 1945 and 1951. Significantly, in 1946, the Rams broke racial barriers by signing Kenny Washington, the first African American player in the modern NFL era. The team's journey took a westward turn in 1958 when they relocated to Los Angeles, initially playing at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. In 1979, the Rams moved again, this time to Anaheim Stadium. The franchise eventually returned to Los Angeles in 2020, coinciding with the opening of SoFi Stadium.
During their time in Los Angeles, the Rams achieved notable successes, capturing the NFC Championship titles in 1979 and 2001, leading them to Super Bowl XIV and Super Bowl XXXVI, respectively. The team was dominant in the early 1970s, securing the first three NFC West Division titles in 1973, 1974, and 1975.
The Rams' storied history features an array of standout players, including Eric Dickerson, Jack Youngblood, Kevin Greene, Marshall Faulk, Kurt Warner, and Aaron Donald.
