Washington Commanders News & Updates

In the game against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was absent due to a shoulder injury. Nevertheless, the Eagles secured a commanding 35-10 win.

Gardner Minshew stepped in for Hurts and performed efficiently, completing 20 out of 25 passes for 249 yards and a touchdown, proving his capability as a backup quarterback for the Eagles.

On the ground, Miles Sanders led the way for the Eagles, rushing for 143 yards on 24 carries, averaging almost six yards per attempt and scoring a touchdown.

The Tennessee offense struggled to find rhythm, managing only one touchdown late in the fourth quarter after being held scoreless for three quarters. Despite their defeat, quarterback Ryan Tannehill displayed some bright moments by completing 21 of 31 passes for 226 yards.

The Eagles' defense continued to impress, forcing four turnovers and limiting Derrick Henry, the Titans' standout running back, to merely 39 yards on 11 carries. Safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson contributed to the defense's strong performance with an interception and a fumble recovery.

With this victory, the Eagles secured the NFC East title with a 13-3 record. Their next encounter will be against the New York Giants at home, in an important divisional battle.
