Green Bay Packers News & Updates

In a notable outdoor debut, the Detroit Lions defeated the Green Bay Packers in challenging weather, reinforcing their leading position in the NFC North.

Kerby Joseph's 27-yard interception return and two successful fourth-down touchdowns drove the Lions to a 24-14 win.

Despite the ejection of Brian Branch in the second quarter, Detroit's defense stood strong, marking their third straight victory at Lambeau Field.

Jared Goff led an effective effort with 18 completions on 22 throws. In the last six games, he has achieved an impressive 82.8% completion rate.

Detroit's offense took full advantage of opportunities, scoring touchdowns early in the second quarter and at the start of the second half.

Green Bay's Jordan Love amassed 273 passing yards but experienced an interception by Joseph. Josh Jacobs ran for 95 yards, and Jayden Reed caught passes totaling 113 yards.

Missed scoring opportunities plagued the Packers, leaving them with a missed field goal and only achieving a touchdown and two field goals from three red zone attempts.

The game's momentum shifted when Love's pass meant for Jacobs was intercepted by Joseph, resulting in a touchdown return.

Joseph's interception tied him with Xavier McKinney as the NFL leader, collecting five interceptions in Detroit's last six games.

The Lions, typically known for indoor games, proved their versatility by securing a win in adverse weather conditions.

Injuries were a factor as Colby Wooden and Jalen Reeves-Maybin left with shoulder injuries. The Packers played without several crucial players, while the Lions were missing Josh Paschal and Malcolm Rodriguez.

Looking ahead, the Lions will head to Houston, and the Packers will have a bye week before their next game against Chicago.
