Jordan Love, who plays quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, has thrown a total of 10 interceptions this season, and two of those were returned for touchdowns. The team's coach, Matt LaFleur, is aware of the issue and mentioned that it might be something they address during their upcoming bye week.
In their recent 24-14 defeat against the Detroit Lions, Love had an interception that was taken back for a touchdown. This occurrence made him the first Packers quarterback since Brett Favre in 2001 to have more than one interception returned for a touchdown within the seasonās first nine games.
Currently, Love's streak of throwing interceptions is the longest for a Packers quarterback since Favre had a similar 10-game streak in 2005. Despite facing a similar challenge last season, Love was able to elevate his performance over the final eight games of the year.
In the two NFC North losses the Packers have faced this season, which were both at their home field, Love ended up throwing interceptions. Even though he had a limited practice schedule due to a groin injury, Love stated that this did not impact his performance on the field.
Before heading into their bye week with a record of 6-3, the Packers dealt with five dropped passes, accrued 10 penalties, and had trouble with shotgun snaps. On the other hand, the Lions successfully managed the rainy weather conditions during their first outdoor game of the season.
Love highlighted that mistakes caused by the team itself, along with penalties and turnovers, are negatively affecting their performance. He believes they have the opportunity to improve during the bye week and in the games that follow.
