Pittsburgh Steelers News & Updates

Justin Fields is maintaining his impressive form, steering clear of errors. Coach Mike Tomlin of the Pittsburgh Steelers remains non-committal regarding the team's quarterback scenario.

Fields guided the Steelers to a 20-10 triumph over the Los Angeles Chargers, advancing their record to 3-0 for the first time since 2020. He contributed a touchdown pass and a rushing touchdown, while the defense restricted the Chargers to just 168 total yards.

Fields attributes his improved performance to staying calm and composed on the field. He also highlights the efforts of the defense and offensive line, noting his development since leaving Chicago.

In the fourth quarter, the Steelers' offense wore out the Chargers. Fields connected with Calvin Austin III for a 55-yard touchdown, and Pittsburgh's defense made vital plays to secure the win.

The Chargers struggled without their starting quarterback Justin Herbert, who was injured in the third quarter. Backup Taylor Heinicke found it challenging to manage the Steelers' pass rush.

The Steelers are confident that their physical approach and strong defense can bring success in 2023. They are set to face the Colts next week in Indianapolis.
