Even after suffering a high right ankle sprain last week, Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is set to play in Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Herbert took part in Sunday's warmup activities, showing no signs of a limp while performing receiver drills and jogging. As a result, the Chargers have confirmed his participation.
For the Chargers, three quarterbacks will be available: Herbert, Easton Stick, and Taylor Heinicke. However, wide receiver Joshua Palmer will miss the game due to elbow and calf injuries.
Herbert incurred the ankle injury during the third quarter of the Chargers' Week 2 win over the Carolina Panthers.
This marks Herbert's second injury this season. Earlier, he spent two weeks in a walking boot during training camp because of plantar fascia in his right foot but has since fully recovered.
