Washington Commanders News & Updates

Marshon Lattimore, the recently acquired cornerback, and running back Brian Robinson Jr. will not be playing in this week's matchup against Pittsburgh due to hamstring injuries.

Both players were absent from last week's game as well. Lattimore missed what would have been his last game with New Orleans before being traded, while Robinson did not participate in Washington's victory over New York. Robinson's condition will be updated later today, and kicker Austin Seibert, who has been managing a hip injury, took part in Friday's practice.

Lattimore joined Washington through a trade with the Saints, but the team has noted uncertainty about when he will return to the field. Coach Dan Quinn is focusing on Lattimore's health, recognizing that he has already missed a game this season with a hamstring issue. The emphasis is on protecting his long-term health.

This season, Robinson has been sidelined for two games, one of which was due to a knee injury in Week 6. If he can't play, Washington will count on Austin Ekeler and Jeremy McNichols at the running back position, and there is a possibility of promoting Chris Rodriguez Jr. or Michael Wiley from the practice squad.
