The Green Bay Packers receiver Christian Watson is expected to miss the Week 5 game because of an ankle injury he sustained during the loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
Watson was hurt in the second quarter when his left leg got stuck following an interception. Coach Matt LaFleur expects Watson to be out for at least a week.
Defensive tackle Devontae Wyatt also experienced a high ankle sprain in the same game.
Although Watson has only made five catches for 80 yards this season, his absence will adversely affect the Packers' offense, which has been struggling with backup quarterback Jordan Love missing two games.
Love, who recently returned from a left knee injury, threw for 389 yards and four touchdowns against the Vikings but also had three interceptions. LaFleur attributed some of the inaccuracies to Love's limited practice time, although he did not specify how much Love practiced this week.
