Green Bay Packers News & Updates

The Packers have decided to suspend wide receiver Romeo Doubs for one game due to actions harmful to the team.

The suspension is a result of Doubs missing two practice days and meetings. Sources suggest his absence was due to dissatisfaction with his role in the passing game.

Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst mentioned that they had to suspend Romeo because of his actions. He expressed confidence that Doubs will continue on a positive path moving forward.

With 20 catches, Doubs is currently second on the team in receptions, but he has not scored any touchdowns. Additionally, the Packers are likely to be without wide receiver Christian Watson, who is dealing with an ankle issue, for Sunday's game.

Backup quarterback Malik Willis has thrown only 33 passes in two games but managed to secure wins in both. In contrast, when Jordan Love returned, the Packers opted for 54 passing attempts, targeting Doubs eight times.

For Sunday's match, the Packers did not bring in an extra receiver to the roster but did sign cornerback Robert Rochell and promoted fullback Andrew Beck from the practice squad.
