Los Angeles Rams News & Updates

Even after a 31-point defeat and lacking their top receivers, the Rams managed to overcome San Francisco with a 27-24 victory.

Down by 14 points in the second half, the Rams' dramatic comeback was highlighted by a third touchdown from Kyren Williams and a decisive field goal by Joshua Karty.

Matthew Stafford commented on the unpredictability of the game, noting that the victory was among his most memorable due to its flawless execution and sheer determination.

Williams scored twice on the ground and once through the air, while Tutu Atwell added 93 receiving yards. The Rams narrowly avoided their first 0-3 start under Sean McVay and equaled their biggest second-half comeback since 2006.

As the defending NFC champions, the 49ers faced frustration after surrendering a 14-point lead. Jauan Jennings achieved career highs with three touchdowns, but their loss was compounded by a missed field goal and a dropped pass.

Purdy expressed regret over missed opportunities, and Nick Bosa stressed the necessity for improvement despite past challenges.

Both squads dealt with significant injuries. The Rams were without Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua, and Tyler Higbee, while the 49ers missed Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, and George Kittle.
