Los Angeles Chargers News & Updates

Justin Herbert, quarterback for the Los Angeles Chargers, is set on playing in the next game against the Kansas City Chiefs, even though he worsened a high ankle sprain during their recent loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Herbert mentioned that he is actively undergoing treatment and doing everything within his power to be ready for Sunday's game. Although the Chargers have considered resting him until their upcoming bye week, Herbert feels they are on track for him to play.

During Wednesday's practice, Herbert took part in 7-on-7 drills and shared that he's feeling optimistic about the progress he's making. He also expressed confidence in the team's backup offensive linemen, Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt, who are currently dealing with their own injuries.

While there are concerns that re-injuring the ankle could cause further harm, Herbert noted that he is not excessively worried about this possibility. He plans to monitor his recovery on a daily basis and evaluate the situation as it unfolds.
