Game Recap

In Denver, Justin Fields and the Pittsburgh Steelers edged out the struggling Denver Broncos 13-6. Russell Wilson, sidelined with a calf strain, watched from the bench as Fields threw a touchdown, completing 13 of 20 passes for 117 yards. Broncos rookie Bo Nix accumulated 246 passing yards but was intercepted twice and failed to score a touchdown. Cory Trice Jr. intercepted Nix in the end zone, stalling Denver's best drive. Pittsburgh's Chris Boswell kicked a 53-yard field goal following a key pass interference penalty. Denver managed two field goals late but failed to mount a successful final drive, ending the game with a Nix interception. Wilson, who signed with Pittsburgh after a tumultuous tenure in Denver, contributed to the win albeit off the field. The Broncos suffer both on the scoreboard and financially, still shouldering a significant portion of Wilson's salary. Next week, the Steelers will face the Los Angeles Chargers, while the Broncos travel to compete against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Read the full game analysis.
