The 2008 season for the Denver Broncos began with lofty aspirations but closed with disappointment, ending with an average record of 8-8. The team had a strong start but faltered in the latter part of the season, losing seven of their last 10 games. Quarterback Jay Cutler delivered a commendable performance, amassing over 4,500 passing yards and 25 touchdowns, though he also had 18 interceptions. Running back Correll Buckhalter was a reliable force in the backfield, rushing for more than 1,000 yards. However, the defense struggled significantly, allowing an average of over 25 points per game. As a result, the Broncos missed the playoffs for the third consecutive year.
