The 2004 season for the Detroit Lions fell short of expectations, plagued by injuries and erratic performances. Entering with high hopes, the Lions ended with a 6-10 record, missing the playoffs. Quarterback Joey Harrington grappled with turnovers, while the defense conceded a league-high 418.8 yards per game. A standout, however, was rookie running back Kevin Jones, who excelled with over 1,100 rushing yards and earned a Pro Bowl selection.
