Pittsburgh Steelers 2003 Season Schedule & Scores
Overall record:6-10
Home record:4-4
Away record:2-6

The 2003 season was a tough one for the Pittsburgh Steelers, a stark contrast to their Super Bowl triumph just two years earlier. The team faced significant offensive challenges, particularly with quarterback Tommy Maddox sidelined by injury and Charlie Batch stepping in. On the defensive side, the Steelers struggled even more, surrendering a league-high 403 points. The addition of wide receiver Plaxico Burress offered little relief, as the team finished with a disappointing 6-10 record, marking their worst performance since 1992. The difficult season concluded with the retirement announcement of coach Bill Cowher.
